Purple Enhancer for cannabis plants is designed to help promote the purple coloration in cannabis buds and leaves. This vibrant color is associated with certain phenotypes of cannabis, particularly those with high levels of anthocyanins, a type of flavonoid responsible for the purple, red, and blue hues in plants. Various factors influence the expression of these colors in cannabis, including genetics, temperature, and the presence of specific nutrients or additives.

Omega Genetix has formulated an anthocyanin enhancer using minerals and amino acids that promote the inherent coloration potential of purple strains of cannabis.
Cinnamic acid is an organic compound found naturally in plants and is often associated with phenolic compounds. It is a precursor to several important secondary metabolites, including flavonoids, lignans, and anthocyanins, which are responsible for various plant characteristics like coloration, flavor, and antioxidant properties.
Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid that plays a key role in the biosynthesis of phenolic compounds, which are responsible for various plant colors, including the purple hues found in cannabis plants. The conversion of phenylalanine into other compounds is part of the phenylpropanoid pathway, which is critical for the production of anthocyanins, the pigments responsible for the purple, red, and blue coloration in plants.
Phosphoric acid is involved in photosynthesis and the production of adenosine triphosphate, which is the energy source required for biosynthetic pathways, including the production of flavonoids and anthocyanins.
Sulfur contributes to the synthesis of the precursor compounds involved anthocyanin biosynthesis.
Magnesium ensures the plant’s ability to produce energy for vital processes, including the synthesis of flavonoids and anthocyanins. Flavonoids are precursors in the production of anthocyanins, and a plant that is photosynthetically efficient produces more of these compounds.
Potassium ensure that the plant has the necessary energy and resources to produce anthocyanins when subjected to temperature stress, which is essential for turning purple.
While some cannabis strains are genetically predisposed to produce purple colors, other factors such as temperature, pH, amino acids and nutrient levels can encourage these traits.
Anthocyanins are pH-dependent pigments. They are more likely to develop in a slightly acidic environment. For cannabis, a soil pH of 6.0-6.5 or a hydroponic pH of 5.5-6.0 is ideal for enhancing anthocyanin production. In slightly more acidic conditions, anthocyanins can appear more vividly.
Compatible with all (organic/synthetic) NPK fertilizers. 100% organic and safe. Do not ingest and keep away from animals.
